Weekly Planning: 21st & 23rd September 2021

Weekly Planning: 21st & 23rd September 2021

To start with we are going to get to know each other. And the best way is using this funny icebreaker activity:

We will also help the other to know us by making an easy PNL activity about our personality.

Then, we will have an initial test to check our grammar knowledge and detect which parts need to be revised during the first lessons, in order to start our course from a reasonable level of competence.

We are going to continue having a general review of the basic grammar, structures and vocabulary that we need in order to face our course. For this purpose we are going to use this Pocket Book:

Therefore, this week we are going to start with the Present Simple and Continuous, and here you can find a video reviewing their use and an activity to practice:

Vocabulary is also important, so let's start with some Food & Cooking vocab:

And a song to test our listening skills:

Weekly Planning - 13th May 2021

We are back and steady on our route to the final exams!

As a practice, you have to prepare for next day the following monologue:

I have found a presentation that could be useful for you in order to organize your speaking preparation process. Here you can see it in the form of a mind map. The topic is "Differences between cities, towns and villages" (advantages, disadvantages, preferences, ...)

And remember:

1. Develop your ideas. Try to use linkers to connect them.

2. Don't give too complicated explanations (or you will probably make mistakes)

See you next week!
